When I add bold or italic styles, using Control+B or Control+I, the text in the edit box changes. However the changes are not 'saved'. Is their a way to format text add hyperlinks, bullets etc., to the Glossary entry?
There is not a lot of text formatting available in the Glossary section of the player. That would make a great feature request and you are welcome to share your thoughts with our product development team here.
Hopefully someone in the community will be able to share a creative idea for your design need.

The font for the Glossary is part of the Player Properties and you can find some information for that in this tutorial.
