Gibberish for Published Course Title

Mar 03, 2017

I am using Presenter 2013 with Windows 7.0 Operating System. I have published the course, and have been previewing the course using Articulate Tempshare. When I successfully complete the course, I choose the "Print Results" button. In the new window, the course title appears as alpha numeric gibberish (see attached screen shot). I have authored and published the course at my desktop. (I have access to a shared drive, but have not used that shared drive with creating or managing this course.) The only application open at the time of publishing is Powerpoint. I am using Office 2010, but using Powerpoint 2013. This problem has previously occurred when publishing a different course. The guidance given by Articulate staff was that the course title was too long for that course. Shortening the course title worked for solving the problem wih that course.  I have heeded that previous guidance when publishing this course, and I have shortened the course title more than once prior to republishing it. Alpha numeric gibberish in the course title has resulted each time.  I have run out of options to explore; I have uploaded the attached Articulate Package. The course is short (3:15) and the test is short. (5 questions.) Please share your wisdom. Thanks! - Mr. Bill

Hi Bill,

Did you have a recent Support case with our team? I took a look and didn't find one - but I was able to take a look at your Presenter course as well, and posted it here to SCORM Cloud and I saw the same thing. I wonder if you were modifying the report.html file as a part of your process? That's something that I can't offer support around, but I've seen lots of folks follow the steps here to make adjustment

If you've got a new support case going, I'm happy to follow along there and take a look at what our team is testing as well. As I don't see anything in this file that would be causing the gibberish title either.

Ashely,

Thanks for looking at my course and evaluating my problem.
No, I am not modifying the report.html file as part of the process.
I have not opened a Support case with your team.
Gibberish has shown up in the course identifier when I have published in the past (see screen shot below.)
This could be a symptom of the problem at hand.
Any resolution would be appreciated.
I will need to be updating several courses soon.
Thanks again.

Hi Bill,

Just wanted to also give you a heads up that responding via email includes your signature here in ELH. You are welcome to visit the forum discussion and click on the "edit" below your post to remove that information. No worries on our part - just in case you don't want your information publicly!

Also, images and attachments won't be posted to the E-Learning Heroes page when you submit them via email - so let's get that support case started as that way our team can dig in a bit deeper with what could be happening with your set up! Keep an eye out for an email from Support@articulate.com
