Graphic border
Jul 02, 2012
I'm having trouble when I publish my presentation with a thick border edge on the right and bottom sides of my images. They are all png format. I have a border on the images (these are all screenshots of an online system), basic gray color and 2 1/4 thickness.
When I publish, the top and left side of the image have a thin border, and the right and bottom have a thick border. I tried different widths to see what happens, and it does it consistently. Taking the images out and adding the border in snag-it or photoshop isn't an option, as there are several hundred of them, and I've already annotated and synced the presentation. There just isn't time for a do-over. Any ideas? I've not had this problem before.

Hi Hallie,
Any screenshots you can attach to give us a better idea of what you're seeing? Thanks!
Snagged this from the published version. The right and bottom edges are thicker than the top and left. I don't think its as critical as I thought at first. Originally it looked like it was causing the image to degrade a bit by adding some sort of effect, but I just ran some side by side publishes on a few slides( with and without borders), and they are about the same in terms of text quality. However, I'd still like to fix it if I can.
Hi Hallie,
Thanks for the screenshot. I think your best chance at cleaning that up would be to try one of the suggestions in this article. If those suggestions don't help, feel free to send us your files to see if there's anything we can do to help. Thanks!
Thanks for the suggestion. I had already done everything in the article except take a screenshot of the image after opening it in a viewer and reinserting it into the presentation. Doing a reinsert/re-sync/re-annotate just isn't feasible at this time due to the volume of images. I may experiment later and see if it makes a difference.
