Graphics appear on screen without waiting for animation

Jun 26, 2014

Hi All,

I have some graphics (clip art, etc), that just appears on screen without being animated first.

I've checked the animation preview in PPT and the pictures are not there and eventually appear when they are supposed to in the animation process.

Upon preview and publishing however, the graphics appear on screen and do not wait for the animation to appear.

Any thoughts as to what might be causing this, ways to resolve?

Thanks,

-DC

Hello Daniel,

Have you using that graphic on same base layer and its appearing early, if so you must sync your objects again in Storyline.

And if you are showing graphic from another layer, then you should add a buffer layer.

It would be best if you share .story file of that single slide so we can see whats wrong in your file.

Thanks

Hi DC,

First, I'd recommend confirming that the animations you're using are supported in Presenter:

Articulate Support - Supported Animations in Articulate Presenter '13

Also, if you have audio in your slide, have you tried using the Sync Animations feature in Presenter?

Adding Audio and Syncing Animations - E-Learning Heroes

If you don't have audio, you can still change your animations to play "on click" and use the Sync Animation tool in Presenter.

If you're still having trouble with this, you're welcome to create and share an Articulate Package here. Please just keep in mind that the max file size for the forums is 20 MB. If your project is larger than this, please let me know and we'll find another method for sharing the project.

Best,

Christine
