How do you stop students from advancing foward through slides?

Mar 23, 2011

I need to stop students from being able to skip foward through the slides without listening to the duration of the audio.  Although I published the files by Choosing "Locked from Advancing Foward", there have been too many students who still can skip foward.  Sometimes, they are using Internet Explorer or AOL browsers.  One person was using  MAC.  I can't narrow down what type of computer/browser allows this abililty.

I'm using Powerpoint2007/Articulatev5.  Do I need to upgrade my version of Articulate or Powerpoint?  Anyone else having this problem?

Thanks!

Virginia, here is what I did to make a user listen to an audio synchronized to a specific slide. I am using PowerPoint 2007 as well.

I defined a click-able animation on the slide, which includes the hyperlink to the next slide. Then I synchronized using the Presenter 09 Sync Animation tool to show the animation after the audio has ended. In case you also offer the Presenter navigation button, then make sure to lock the slide to allow PPT navigation only.

Hope that will help.
