How to require users to watch several videos?

May 31, 2012

I know that in Articulate Engage, you can require users to interact with all of the elements on the slide before progressing. Is it possible to do this on a regular slide that is not an interaction? I'm using a branching method described here (http://community.articulate.com/tutorials/courses/adding-hyperlinks-and-branching.aspx) to allow users to watch three videos in whatever order they choose. I would very much like to make sure every learner watches each video. Is this possible? Below is a screenshot of my draft  slides; I would like the users to watch all three videos before moving on to the End screen.

Thanks!

Welcome to Heroes, Hope!

I'm not seeing your screenshot (maybe it's my browser), but you should be able to configure the advance behavior of your slides, as well as how the users navigate through your course fairly easily. Maybe you can try re-posting your screenshot so I can get a better idea of how to help out if those tutorials aren't enough to get you started. Thanks, and welcome again!

Hey Hope!

So regarding the hyperlinks, you'll need to actually publish the course for the hyperlinks to work properly; preview has a habit of making them behave erratically. And when you do publish the course, you'll want to be sure to test it in the environment you published for, i.e. web, LMS, CD...

And not sure if you've decided on a solution for ensuring that the videos are all viewed, but I'm thinking it might get a little tricky to have them all one slide AND require them all to be watched. Having the videos each on their own slides and using branching might make things easier, if you're able to separate them...
