Is there a way to tell if a published course used the HTLM5 option at the time it was published? I need some tool to check multiple SCORMs to see if they were published properly.
Search the SCORM package for "swf" (the extension used by Flash files). If you find any, you know the course uses Flash. If not, then it uses HTML5.
Be aware, though, that older versions of HTML5 might not work as well as more recent ones, since the standards have evolved somewhat since it first came out.
