HTML vs. Flash

Oct 19, 2017

Hi, We are required to publish in HTML and i do that by selecting the HTML button before publishing; is there anything else i should be doing?

Also, i was informed that all animations and transitions in PowerPoint were converted to Flash even if i publish in HTML; is this true? How do i fix this?

Thanks, jt

Which version of Studio are you using?

In any case, if you're using a version that supports publishing to HTML5, and you use the HTML5 link to launch the content, your learners will see pure HTML, no Flash. This includes animations, transitions, etc.

Features that are unsupported in the HTML output just won't work, but there's not many, you can see the full comparison here of what's supported in the HTML output - https://articulate.com/support/article/Comparing-HTML5-Flash-and-Articulate-Mobile-Player-Output-for-Articulate-Presenter-360

Finally, take a look here at publishing options, under Step 3 for publish formats - https://community.articulate.com/series/88/articles/articulate-presenter-360-user-guide-how-to-publish-a-course-for-lms?_ga=2.151631546.2079772360.1508441565-100701625.1507726191
