Ideas? Suggestions? Reinforcement

Nov 03, 2011

I'm creating a proposal for a course on different customer types (orthopedic surgeons; radiologists and so on) for a medical device company. The content will include an overview of the customer (physician) including a history of the specialty, the personality type that chooses the specialty, typical daily schedule, types of conditions they treat etc.

The client asked me to propose some tools the reps/managers can use to reinforce the course in the field. I'm lost on what to propose. Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Al! What does your client want the learners to do with the information in the course? Base your reinforcement tools on actual, observable behaviors that the client is after, and you can't go wrong. Sometimes it helps to ask "what evidence do you want to see in your learners, that proves they've learned what they needed to learn?"

For example, if the point of the project is to help learners respond to technical questions from the various customer types, you could create some practice scenarios that require learners to find and supply answer to common questions from each customer type.

Does that help?
