Is free nav possible after restricted nav lesson completed
Oct 17, 2011
Hello All,
We are currently using restricted navigation in many of our lessons. After students have completed any one of our restricted navigation lessons we have a need to provide the same lesson with free navigation for our end users to use as a user friendly review tool. That way our end users can quickly access any slide(s) quickly when necessary without having to review every slide prior to the reaching the desired slide and its information.
We are currently thinking of loading two versions of every lesson (restricted nav and free nav) on to our LMS in order to cover both needs but are hoping that there is a better solution. Is there a way to code a lesson so that it can be uploaded to our LMS once which will allow free navigation review to our end users after they have completed a lesson in the restricted navigation mode? Is there a best practice for setting this up?
Thanks in advance for any ideas or help.
Oli

Hi Oli,
In a restricted navigation, the end-users are allowed to view the previous slide and the current slide. Thus, when they've completed the entire lesson, they will be able to freely view the content. You'll just need to make sure that the resume feature is enabled in the course.
