Looping screens

Jun 15, 2012

Hi,

I used Articulate Presenter to publish some courses.
In theses courses the user must advance each screen, but some of theses screens start to looping in the final presentation.
This doesn't happens in all screen, and in principle they are instructed in the same way.
I would to like to know, what could be happening.

Thanks,

Viviane V.

Hi Viviane,

Are you able to send us your files so we can take a closer look at what's going on? Please create an Articulate Presenter package, then upload the zip file to our server. You can review how to do this here:

Send to Articulate Presenter Package – Articulate Presenter ’09 Help

Upload the resulting zip file from your computer to our server using this upload form:

Please be sure to include a description of your issue, your version of PowerPoint, version of Windows and version of Presenter '09, which you can find in Help and Support -> About Articulate Presenter. Please also include the URL for this thread so I can follow up with you personally in the forums. And feel free to come back and leave your case number here so I can keep a close eye on it. Thanks!

Well, I get the support answer for this problem.

"Upon further investigation, we have determined that the cause of the issue is using special characters when naming your objects in the affected slides.

Therefore, to resolve the issue, you'll need to rename all your objects in the slides and remove all the special characters. Please follow the steps below to resolve the issue:

1. Open your presentation in PowerPoint, and navigate to the slide(s) where this issue occurs or begins.

2. Select the Home tab on the PowerPoint toolbar (ribbon).

3. Click on the Select drop-down list (in the Editing group), and choose Selection Pane.

4. In the Selection Pane, double-click the names of the shapes that contain special characters (e.g., accent marks, asterisks, quotation marks, etc.), and rename them with alpha-numeric characters only. An example on your slides is the object named 'Espaço Reservado para Conteúdo 2'. You'll need to remove the special characters, such as renaming this to 'Espaco Reservado para Conteudo 2'.

5. Save your presentation, and republish it."

I admit that I don't understand why I had to rename shapes just from specific slides and not from all, but it looks to work.

I'm rename the shapes from all courses that showed this problem, and I hope this works for all cases.
