I have created a course where in the player options I have removed the Menu, resource and volume options. The first slide appears with all of these missing, but then as I move into the Engage slides they all reappear.
Any ideas on how I can permanently remove them from the learning program?
Your player defaults will not carry over 'by default' to your added quizzes and interactions. You will need to check the slide properties on these slides and adjust.
