Navigation - uniformity?

I've got a mix of Engage templates and single page quiz templates and presenter templates. The Engage templates have the top bar for navigation (either with or without Next button displaying). I don't know whether it's worth adding a 'placeholder' top navigation bar and Next button to the quiz and presenter templates. However, it would mean quite a bit of work adding in links to the Next buttons and margin for error, also these would not 'pulse' as in the Engage templates.

Alternatively I keep the Next button switched off (and have no placeholder top navigation bar for Presenter templates) so the user has to move to the bottom to navigate for all types of slides and the top arrows for moving within an Engage interaction.

Has anyone looked into the this or views on what works best. I've had a bit of feedback from a few users and it's mixed.
