Need alternative-Hyperlink Screen tip text not there when publishd

I used the screen tip text for a hyperlink, but the text doesn't show up after the course has been published.

Is there an alternative that Studio 09 supports? Any options/ideas would be most welcome.

Sorry if I'm misunderstanding, but are you looking for a tooltip-like solution?

Thank you, Peter for the links. I've very quickly scanned them and found that I left out an important piece of information...the hyperlink in the course goes to a pdf document on a web page, not to another slide in the document.

I was hoping to have the screen tip text show when learners click on the hyperlinked icon that takes them to the pdf document. The text is to tell them which chapter and section to go to.

I'm still having a hard time picturing what you're describing. Are you using a PowerPoint tooltip - because I don't believe they are supported in Presenter.

Do you have a screenshot you might be able to share?
