I'm getting this error message when trying to advance from a slide in my course to a quiz. I'm not using hyperlinks to advance. I've swapped the slide with one that is exactly the same earlier in the course (it works fine) and I've deleted and replaced the quiz and I still get this error message. All settings look the same so I'm scratching my head in frustration as my deadline is nearing. Any ideas? What am I missing?
I opened a trouble ticket but have since solved the problem by rebuilding the quiz. I sent my files with the trouble ticket so Articulate can see if it is a bug or a corrupt file. PowerPoint locked up twice while working on this course. Sadly for me this has been a regular problem for my team with 09 and 13. Here is the Link message I was getting. I'm using the player buttons and I have no hyperlinks in the course. When trying to advance from a slide to a quiz I received the attached Link message after clicking the "Next" button. It also happened with slide advance set to automatic.
Thanks for your response. It seems we were having some problems with some of our machines having a corrupt installation of the software suite. We deleted the copy from the machine and reinstalled. Not sure what the problem was, but that seemed to do the trick.
It looks like I also replied to you in this thread on a similar issue, and shared that it seemed to be fixed by importing the Quizmaker file into a new project. As with the posters in this current thread it seems that corruption is a likely cause and you may also want to follow the repair steps for Studio as well.
I am having a similar problem. I am on my first slide. Originally I imported slides "Templates" with embed video "Presenter Media" (PM) I received an error and that said to import the videos separately. I found the separate video file from PM and imported it on the first slide. It will run until the end point of the slid and then an error message comes up
Any suggestions?
If I would also like to know how to loop the video until the user clicks.
Are you just previewing that one slide? You're using Presenter, not Storyline correct? There isn't a method to loop a video in Presenter so you would need to do this with a 3rd party software and set it so that the Flash movie loops. It should then loop in your published presentation as well.
I am using Storyline. I am importing a presenter media animated power point template. The embedded video doesn't import. I have been able to find the video separately and import it. I can't seem to get it to loop until the next button is clicked.

I am having the same issue with Storyline. I added a slide to my project and when I attempt to preview the slide, scene, or project, I get the same error message stating, "The slide target of this 'link' is not avialable in this preview". There are no 'links' in my project whatsoever. I am close to have this project complete, but am unable to progess due to this issue and having a looming deadline. Please advise no how I can correct this issue. Thank you!
Although most content displays during preview just like it would in the published output, there are a few items that are unavailable during preview. They are:
Videos from websites, such as Screenr, YouTube, and Vimeo
Web objects
Interactions imported from Articulate Engage
Print results
JavaScript triggers
Hyperlinks may not work during preview. We recommend publishing to test hyperlinks.
Thanks for the feedback. See my response below in blue:

I am having the same error message: I duplicated a slide within my Storyline, which contains freeform questions. Then I edited this slide. When I preview it, after the first drag and drop attempt I get this error pop-up.
No files imported, no links used, I created everything from scrath in Storyline and just duplicated and edited the slide with a free form drag and drop.

Hi Marty!
I apologize, but I cannot see the image that it looks like you have attached here so I'm not sure what the error is.

Hi Marty!
I see where you submitted your support case (00398824) and Vira is currently testing. You should be hearing from support
Thanks for the update :)
My team is having the same issue with this problem can you post a solution for our review or send feedback to help. Thanks.
Hi Chad and welcome to E-Learning Heroes!
In Marty's case above, he re-built the quiz and everything worked fine, so he assumed he had a corrupt file.
If you can share some more details and perhaps your .quiz file for us to take a look at, that would be great.

Thanks for the update Chad Glad to hear that everything is working now.
I have this same issue happening in multiple different courses! What is causing this, and how do I fix?

Hi Susan,
If the video is not set up to loop automatically within the original file, you may want to look at utilizing the method here.
Hope that helps!
Hi,
I was having the same problem when I tried to preview my ppt by clicking preview "this slide".
If you simply preview the whole thing it should work.
The only other step I think I did was delete all the additional triggers in Story VieW that were automatically added when I imported.
Hope that helps!

Hi Laurae - It's okay to use any of the objects mentioned, but they may not preview as you expect is all. They will work in your published output.
I cannot image that you added in web objects you did not need, so you should not need to delete or swap them out.
Looks like your email signature came through when you replied via email. You can remove that if needed - quick Peek video here if you need help.
