Presenter '09 and mobile devices

Jan 09, 2016

I've not produced anything for a few months using '09 but I remember it would produce the files needed to allow viewing on Android and IOS mobile devices. I've just published a project for web and there is no sign of mobile support. Can anyone help? Has something changed?

Hi, Neil -- Phil is correct, and just in case you would like to have it handy or take a look, here is the official System Requirements sheet for Presenter '09, as well.

You may also want to take a look at this information on Microsoft Surface Support:

Review the following to determine which versions of Microsoft's Surface tablet work with Articulate apps and content:

Surface with Windows RT

Authoring Content:

Surface with Windows RT doesn't support authoring or publishing Articulate content.

Viewing Content:

As of March 12, 2013, Microsoft allowed Flash content to run by default on Windows RT devices. As a result, Articulate Storyline and Articulate Studio content can be viewed on on these devices, including Microsoft's Surface tablet.

Surface with Windows 8 Pro

Authoring Content:

Articulate content can be authored and published on Surface with Windows 8 Pro (as long as Flash and the .NET Framework are enabled).

Viewing Content:

Articulate content can be viewed on Surface with Windows 8 Pro.

How about the old support for Presenter 09 that reccomended to copy the .swf at C:\Program Files (x86)\Articulate\Presenter\players\mobile into the data folder of the published folder and direct the link to that player? Another thing, I use to tell my clients to use the Puffin browser. I can see my presentations from my iPad if I run ir from Puffin or similar html5 browsers.
