Print Quiz Results with Name

Jul 10, 2013

H E L P!

I have a couple of courses that need a tweak.

When the user completes the quiz, they can print the results. I used the "Prompt the user for their name before printing" option... which works fine, BUT... the client has experienced the issue that if one student prints his results, another student can just click Print again from the results screen and add his own name. He then prints the results from the previous user but has his name on it.

I guess what I need to do is:

  • Reset whole quiz after 1st print, or
  • Allow only 1 print, but this is an issue if there's a printer problem.

Suggestions? Fixes? I'll take any help I can get. Thanks!!!!

The client is not using an LMS. This is a problem for sure, but nothing I can do about it.

What happens is when the learner takes the quiz, they can print the results and are asked to type their name first. Once printed, if the learner has not exited the lesson, another learner can click the print button again and change the name but print the results with their name instead of the original learner.

They also email the quiz results to the training manager, but these results do not show the learners name.

Here are the options of what I would like to do:

1.       Disable the print button after one print OR

2.       Clear the results after one print OR

3.       Add the learners name to the email results

Is there any way to do any of these things?

OK this is going to work Now, one more question please. :)

Is there a way to put up a message to the learner once they have hit the 'email results' button at the end of thequiz. Something like, "Your results have been delivered."

Currently, they click the button and see nothing happening. Sometimes they will click it a dozen times thinking it's not working.

Hi Thanks for that last message... but it's not quite what I need. The email is working fine, but the user doesn't get a notification that the email was sent, so the tend to click the button several times, sending out several copies of the quiz results.

Do you know of any way to put in a message that says something like... "Your quiz results have been deliverd."

Hi Cheryl! Sorry for my confusion.  I was just thinking that since you did not get a pop-up that the e-mail feature must not be working for you.  I just conducted a test so that I could understand this better, and this is what I'm seeing when I click 'Email Results':

So, I am getting a notification of my e-mail.

I'm not quite sure why yours is behaving differently.

If you'd like, you can submit a case so that our support team can assist you with this.

Thanks so much and have a great day!

Hi Leslie or whomever else might see this and provide help

I have 2 more issues that I can't figure out...

1. If the learner clicks "Review Quiz", a red box at the bottom of every question says "Incorrect", even if the learner got the right answer. How do I fix this?

2. When reviewing the quiz, green check marks show the right answers, but the learners choice does not show up so they have no idea what they had selected.

This one is a different topic all together, but let's see if we can find an answer :)

Is there anyway to get Storyline to switch languages by adding a 'Language' button?

Thanks for your help!
