Problem with course already completed. Message: Can only view slides that you have already seen

Dec 23, 2021

When I review a course that has already finished and I try to view slides that have already been consulted, the message appears

Can only view slides that you have already seen

It is the first time that this has happened to me.
In order to view the slides I have to use the PREV key

I have Articulate Presenter V. 8.27.25041.0

In attach a SCORM file.

Regards.

Hi, Fabrizio.

It sounds like your menu was set as Restricted, which is why the user has to follow a specific order and won't be able to jump to different slides if they haven't visited them yet.

Take a look at the article below for additional information:

I hope this helps!

My setting was just restricted. See attached image.

It has always worked; only now it doesn't work anymore. I think you have changed something in a new version which went to change the software settings.

Regards.

Fabrizio

Hello Fabrizio!

We're unable to see a screenshot when you reply by email. Can you try again by attaching it here

Let's explore the expected behavior of the navigation restriction options:

Restricted: Learners can view the current slide and any slide they previously viewed, but they can't jump ahead or skip over slides using the course menu.

  • If you also want to restrict the player navigation buttons, mark the corresponding box to Restrict Next/Previous buttons.

Locked: Learners can only view slides in the order you've designed. They can't jump ahead or skip over slides, nor can they go back to any previously viewed slides using the course menu.

  • If you also want to lock the player navigation buttons, mark the corresponding box to Lock Next/Previous buttons.

If it's possible to create an Articulate package to share your project, I'd be happy to look closer at your navigation settings and help pinpoint the issue—just click here!
