Probably not the answer you are looking for but the Articulate Player within Studio is fixed to encompass the standard landscape PowerPoint slide and doesn't adjust to portrait. There's always a possibility this could change when the new version - Studio 13 - is released but as yet we don't know.
Another note, you could see if a custom skin would work for you, but you'd need to find a developer who can build one for you if you don't have the SDK and Flash skills to do so yourself
