Questions re: Recording Narrations and Saving

Jun 20, 2013

Hi - We purchased the Studio Suite a week or so ago, and are just starting to use it for the first time.  Given that, I have a couple of questions regarding recording and saving narrations.  (FYI - I searched the forums for other posts on this, but didn't find much.  Sorry if I'm asking questions that have already been answered elsewhere.)

My questions are as follows:

  • Is there any way to exit a recording session without saving?  The only option that I see is "Save and Close."  What if I want to exit the recording session without saving?
  • Conversely, is there any way to save a slide narration without exiting the recording session?  I like to record a slide and then immediately save the narration once I'm satisfied with the results.  I then move on to recording the next slide.  The only way I see to do this is to click on the "Save and Close" button after I finish recording each slide.  This then kicks me out of recording mode and I have to re-enter in order to record the next slide.  While this works okay, it sure seems kind of clunky.  Seems like there should be a better way.  Am I  missing something?

Thanks!

Bob

Hi Bob and Welcome to E-Learning Heroes.  I'm not sure if you've seen this tutorial, but it is a great guide on narration with a brief video and step-by-step directions with screen shots.  Unfortunately, exiting without saving is not possible, but would make a great feature request.  The tutorial link I sent you covers slide-to-slide recording without having to Save and Close.  I hope this helps and again Welcome!
