I'm not sure I'm completely understanding what's going on. Do you mean the actual PowerPoint file, or the Presenter Project file was deleted?
You mentioned you have an .EXE file, but that doesn't sound like a default save file extention. Was this presentation published for CD? If so, maybe that's the file you're seeing. If so, there's no way to extract a project file or PPT file from the published output.
If I'm not understanding this correctly, please let me know.
Unfortunately, you'd need the source files rather than the published output to be able to open and edit it in either Presenter. The content is packaged together into the CD files for viewing purposes only, so you won't be able to extract any files in a form that would be usable in either PowerPoint or Presenter. I do apologize, I know that's probably not what you wanted to hear.
In the future, though, I'd suggest keeping a backup of the files or even creating Presenter Packages for your content. This is the best way to keep track of your files and helps a lot with sharing, too.
I'm sorry again, Stephen, I wish I could give you some better news.

Christine:
I have published my work for CD. I have all that data.
What happened was the PPT file was deleted.
Is there a way to create an 'origional' from the published data?
At a minimum is there a way to get the audio back and i'll re-sync all the animations?
Stephen
