Rough draft approvals needed.

Jun 20, 2013

My SME's do not have a license for articulate on their PCs. How can I show (email)  them a "rough draft" before publishing and placing the presentation on our LMS? It is very time intensive to make changes after publishing to our LMS. Would the sharing of a PPTA file work? Thank you.

Welcome to E-Learning Heroes, Darlene!

If they don't have access to the Articulate software, you could publish for CD and share that content with the SMEs. Just remember that they'll need to extract the files and launch the Launch_Presentation.exe file in the output.

Here's some extra information that may help:

If you view a published Studio '09 presentation on your local hard drive or send it to someone else to view on their local hard drive, you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features of your content to fail.

To properly test your published content and share it with others, upload it to the environment for which it was published. Please review the article below for more information:

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks and welcome again!

Hi Darlene!

No problem! :) Also, just wanted to mention that if you need to make changes, you can always republish and upload the updated presentation over the presentation you uploaded originally.

So, you could use the same link, etc. Just make sure that if you do this multiple times, you may want to clear your browser cache so that you don't see any issues with the updated versions.

Have a fantastic Friday!
