Separation anxiety

I lost the PowerPoint deck with the voiceover for my Presenter project but I have the Articulate project with the voiceover.  And, of course, I need to do some minor voiceover changes.  Is there any way to export the audio back to the PowerPoint deck from the Articulate Project file or save the Articulate project as a PowerPoint file or do I need to rerecord the voiceover :-(?

Please let me know.

Hi, Pam -- Sorry to hear you are having difficulties, and if I am understanding your question correctly, there is not a way that you can extract or export your audio from our project file or published output folder.

May I ask if you have tried the following, as there may still be a working version of your project in your temp files? Here's how to check:

1) Open this folder in Windows Explorer: %appdata%\Articulate\Presenter

2) Scan the contents of this folder for a file that starts with the name of your project. If you find one, copy it to your desktop. If you find more than one, copy the latest version to your desktop.

3) Change the file extension of the copy on your desktop from *.tmp to *.pptx.

4) Double-click the file to open it in PowerPoint.

Otherwise, I'm sorry to say, it may be necessary to recreate your file from scratch, and you may find this article for Tips to Reduce Your Risk of Corrupting or Losing Project Files to be helpful in the future.
