Simultaneous Wipes

Jun 15, 2013

I'm trying to bring in two images using the Wipe Entrance animation. Both images are set to wipe in at the same time but one image has timing set longer than the other.  When I publish, one image comes in completely before the other one starts. It ignores the fact that both are supposed to start at the same time. Also to note, the images are one over the other.

Any ideas?

Welcome to E-Learning Heroes, Judy!

Can you tell me a little bit more about the type of images you're using and where they're located in the presentation, please?

From what I can see, wipe animations are supported. So, it may be an issue if the images are located on a Master slide, or if there are any other animation "calls".

Does this happen when you preview, or only after publishing? If this only happens after publishing, please make sure you're not viewing the published output files locally.

If you view a published Studio '09 presentation on your local hard drive or send it to someone else to view on their local hard drive, you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features of your content to fail.

To properly test your published content and share it with others, upload it to the environment for which it was published. Please review the article below for more information:

Publishing and sharing Studio '09 content

Let me know if you see any improvement.

Thanks!

Hi Judy,

The awesome Mike Taylor contacted me with some more information about the issue you're running into :)

Seems that if the PowerPoint timing setting is the same (fast, slow, etc.) it works properly. Otherwise, it forces it to sequential instead of simultaneous. We're not entirely sure why this is happening, but if the duration isn't the same, it seems to break the animation.

I haven't had any luck finding a report on this issue. It would help us narrow down this issue if you could share your file with our support team.
