Slide only view - change default background wrapper from white

Jun 15, 2011

I need to use a base white background template in PPT.   For each subtopic in a lesson,  I want to switch to the slide only view.  The slide only view  wraps a white background.  I added a picture to show you all.

Is there a way to change that background color scheme to something other than white?

The color scheme I chose in the player wraps around the entire slide for the standard view,  and wraps the top and bottom for the no sidebar view,  I need a colored edge but not the other parts of those other views.

Any ideas?

Hi Rob,

Have you tried achieving the color scheme you want through the custom Color Scheme Editor? It comes pre-configured with 20 schemes, but if none of those appeal to your eye, you can not only make your own custom scheme, but you can also choose to edit a particular aspect of the Player.

According to this tutorial, "First click the bullet corresponding to the area of the Player you wish to modify. You will see the color palette reflect the current color. Next, modify the color using one of four methods to select your color of choice". The most basic way is to use the Visual Palette, with additional options outlined here

"When you’re satisfied with your color selection, click Apply This Color. Repeat the above for each Player area whose color you wish to modify. When you are satisfied with your new color scheme, click OK to save the settings".

Hope that helps. Good luck!
