Text disappears when I preview

Hello!
I work with powerpoint 2013 and Presenter 2013 on Windows 7. In the past few days, when I do a preview one of the text boxes and its content disappears from one of the slides. I researched the issue, and the same thing happened in 2012 related to the Windows security update KB2753842. I've deleted the update (and made sure it was deleted), but the text box still disappears. Is there anything else I can do?
Thank you for your help!

Hello Anna,
Have you tested the published content as well? Have you seen this before, or is this the first time? You may want to look at the steps listed here to see if this helps.
Hello Emily,
If I publish, but don't do a preview, it's been alright and nothing disappears. This is the first time it's happened. I'll try the steps you posted and let you know if it solves the problem.
Thank you!
Anna
Thanks for the update Anna,
you could also share the file here if you would like us to take a look.
Hi Emily,
I think maybe I'll send it to you to look at it. I tried repairing as well as the re-installation process you sent me, and the issue is still the same. Maybe it's the powerpoint itself? The gray box on slide 42 is what keeps disappearing.
Thank you for your help!

Hello Anna,
I was able to see the text in the box while previewing:
However, just to be safe, I recreated the slide and did a save as on the file. Please see attached, and see if the issue is still occurring.
Hello Emily,
Thank you so much! The presentation with the recreated slide works perfect now. Maybe it was the slide. Are attachments accessible for anyone who clicks on this dialogue, or just us? If they are, I'd rather remove them.
Thank you again for your help!

Anna,
On here, they can be seen by everyone. You can go into your post and edit it to remove the attachments. I will remove them from my post as well.
Glad this is working now, probably a corrupted slide.
