Text publishing larger than font in powerpoint

Feb 16, 2012

For the last few presentations that I have created or updated, the font is publishing larger in the Articulated version than that of the powerpoint version. With the first 2 of the 3, I simply went into the powerpoint and decreased my font by 1 size and it looked great when Articulated, although not really the same to the reviewers of the initial (powerpoint) and finalized versions (articulated). This one I published today however is not going to work that way. The difference in font size is incredible therefore I would have to decrease the powerpoint version so much it would look like I didn't know what I was doing when someone reviewed the source files (and obviously I don't know what I'm doing or I wouldn't be asking ya'll, haha)...but we don't want them knowing that.

Here is a screenshot of the powerpoint version and one once it's articulated...any help is appreciated.

One of my co-workers (who doesn't even use articulate) figured it out for me. These 3 presentations were created in 2003 version and I was updating them in 2010 version of powerpoint. PowerPoint was in compatibility mode and wasn't updating correctly. When I opened it in PowerPoint 2003 and published from there it looked just fine, except all the "cool stuff" that 2010 will do wasn't there of course.

Anyway, I published it in 2003 and it's great.

So, does anyone know the fix for the issue that Brandy was having IF you publish in PowerPoint 2010?  I have looked for "compatibility issue between 2003 and 2010 versions of PowerPoint fonts" and have found little help. I now only have Office 2010 and have dozens of PowerPoints with manipulated text boxes from 2003 PPTs that look fine as just a PPT but weird out when they are "Articulated" with Articulate '09.
