Tracking via Quiz

I've posted my first articulate learning module and chose to track by quiz (Quizmaker constructed). The quiz is at the very end of the module. I've had a student tell me that she started the module but decided to exit after the first few minutes of the learning activity with a plan to return at a later time. The quiz at the end of the presentation was not ever accessed, according to the student, but now there is a quiz grade of zero posted in our gradebook. What setting should I pay attention to in the publishing processes that will prevent this from happening in the future?  Thanks!
