'Tree rings on gradient/transparent images
Oct 03, 2018
Hello all
Hoping someone can help please.
I have created slides using a light grey gradient rectangle shape with transparency (text placed on this). Behind the shape I place an image (bottom and sides). Looks fantastic on PPT slides but when published, the images have 'tree rings' near where the gradient/transparency starts occurring.
Anyone have suggestions on how to overcome this issue please?
Using Presenter 360 on ppt 13; published in html/flash format
Attached a snapshot image to show.
Thanks in advance.

Hi there Robert!
You mentioned that the slide looks different when you compare the Preview version with the Published version. Can you share what the slide looks like in Preview?
Also, have you hosted the published project on a web server or LMS to view it?
Hello Alyssa
The ppt slideshow view shows no lines, whilst both Articulate preview and published modes show lines :-(
Looks beautiful on slideshow/ppt, hoping to fix the issue with Articulate.
for more context - I was trying to develop a way of a) having more picture b) no visible line/edge between words and image.
Hi Robert,
Could you share a copy of your Presenter package so that we can take a look at what you set up and what's happening?
Hello Ashley
I continued working on the issue, inserting another grey shape behind the first and than played around with the gradient's. In the end, I have pretty much overcome the issue.
Appreciate you helping though :-)
Oh, well I'm really glad to hear that Robert! I wish I knew what had happened, but if you run into any other odd behavior, please don't hesitate to share that project file. If you ever need to share privately you can send along to our Support Team.
