Testing the web published content locally is known to cause individuals to encounter security restrictions or other difficulties when trying to access it. You'll want to upload to the intended publish environment as the article linked above describes and there are a few free/easy options you could use to share the output.
I don't believe that Macs automatically unzip files when they've been downloaded and accessed, at least I've never experienced that on my Mac. If you need to send them the zip file for review, they will also want to look at uploading into a publish environment for testing to see the best results or ensure there course will behave as expected.

Hi Joanne,
Where did you upload the published output? You may want to investigate one of the options here and then I'd also want to ensure you're client is viewing it in one of the browsers here.
Hi Ashley
The file is published to web, so I just sent the client the zip file to review. It was not uploaded.
As I understand it (I use a PC), macs automatically unzip the files.

I forwarded the client your previous reply and she was able to view the file on Firefox. Thank you so much for your help!
Best,
Joanne
