What if user leaves during presentation?

Apr 26, 2012

New to Articulate so excuse me if this is a bad question. Googled and all I could find was references to Articulate Online.

I am setting up a series of 4 courses to be taken in a linear fashion. If I have a user that starts Part 1 and is 1/2 way through and must leave does Articulate remember where that user was the next time they come back? (Resumes where they left off)

This is outside of any real LMS system. It will be hosted just as courses that they must take.

Thank you

Thank you

Do people use Articulate without a LMS? Does it make sense to do that? I was hoping to create the learning activities and host them on our site. Users would need to complete Series 1 to 4 in a linear fashion and once they did they would end up at a post test that we already have built. But to get to the post test they have to complete the 4 part series.

I am wondering if this is possible to do w/o using an LMS like Moodle.

Lots to learn!

Great video on setting up a linear series.

could this also be done outside of Articulate Online? I'm hesitant going with AO because the group we are building this for doesn't want something out of the box. I know there  is the AO api. Would that allow us (Of course w/ programming etc) to push the reporting and other functionality  to our website and not on the AO site?

Hi Thomas,

The Articulate Online API allows Articulate Online to communicate with other applications such as a company user database or an e-commerce application. You can learn more here.

You can view examples of what's possible with the Articulate Online API here.

If you'd like more information, please let me know and I'll be happy to have an account manager contact you to discuss.
