Can't set unlimited attempts on a quiz??

Nov 18, 2013

Hello,

I'm hoping someone can help me... I've created a quiz and integrated it into my PowerPoint presentation, and I've set the results to be "unlimited attempts". Even when I set the results to unlimited, the button on the final page changes from "review quiz" to "retry quiz" which is great and what I want! However when I publish the whole course, users can't retry the quiz... only review.

It's so frustrating and I don't know what I'm doing wrong??

Hi Meg and welcome to Heroes!

Just to confirm, you're using a graded results slide as described here? Do you have both options, for a user to review and retry a quiz? I just tried this in a very simple quiz that I inserted into Presenter 13, and I'm not able to replicate the behavior your describing.  One of the first things you'll want to check if there is odd behavior is that you're working with local project files and that when you're ready to test the published output you  place your content in the location for which it was published. If you're still having difficulty are you able to create a Presenter package and share it with us here? If you'd prefer to share it privately you're welcome to share it here.

Hi Ashley,

Yea that's correct, I've selected "unlimited" in that drop down box and even un-ticked the review check box, but it's still not allowing users to retry when I publish the course. The only button showing once the test is over is review, not retry. :( I'm not sure how to share this with you - does this link work? I don't think that would work for you.
