Course Title Is Aphanumeric Gibberish When Published

Mar 29, 2016

I have Presenter'13 and use Windows 7.0 I publish and preview the course, and then preview the course again using TempShare. When I review the results, they come up fine, as well as the employee name, but the course title is alpha numeric gibberish. (See "Screen Shot" attachment.) This is not a new problem. What I have tried differently, is that I have created the quiz in the directory/drive where the course will "live". I have also had Presenter '13 removed and reinstalled on my desktop. I have also include an Articulate package with this post.

Wisdom would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Mr. Bill

Hi, Bill -- Thanks for reaching out! We appreciate that you've tested your course in the intended environment and are seeing the same behavior you have described there, as well. Unfortunately, the screenshot you intended to share did not attach properly. Would you be able to use the EDIT button beneath your post to share the attachment again?

Or could you possibly share your file itself for testing? If privacy is a concern, you are welcome to pass it along via this form. I also wanted to share a link to this article for additional troubleshooting options to consider, as well.

Christie,
Here is the screen shot requested in your earlier message.
Here is the zip file that was generated when the course was published and previewed.
Hope that both help with the investigation.
Thanks for taking an interest in resolving the situation.

Hi, Bill -- So sorry to report, but I still cannot see your attachment!

Unfortunately, when you reply via email, any attachment you intended to send are not visible here in the post. Please click here to be taken to the post itself, and then use the grey "ADD ATTACHMENT" button in the bottom left of the reply box.

And in case you were not aware, when you reply via email, details in your signature are visible publicly in your post. Please feel free to use the EDIT button beneath your post to remove that info as well if you'd like. :)

Christie,

First attachment is the requested screen shot.

Second attachment is the published zip file of the presentation.

It is not the Articulate Package that was shared earlier, which also appears to be a zip file with the same name.  Hope that you are able to access and see its contents.

Hi, Bill -- Thanks for your reply and without seeing your source file (the .pptx itself rather than the published output folder that came through with your last message), I cannot see for sure, but may I ask if you could check what is in the TITLE line when you hit PUBLISH for your course?

Please see step #1 of this article for additional details, and if issues persist, I will need you to use the following instructions to create an Articulate Package (which is something different than your published output folder shared previously). Hope that helps! :)

Christie,

First attachment is the powerpoint itself. I use the Office 2013 version of Powerpoint.

Second attachment is "Screen shot 03292016". It contains screen shots of the titles of the presentation which comes up when Publish is clicked in the Articulate Powerpoint tab.

Thanks.
