Display correct answers right after students' submission

Aug 20, 2015

We are about to use quizmaker as a essential practice in a MOOC course opening soon, but just cannot get this part right. I have googled a lot on this but it still not going and hope to get some luck here.

Here is my case:

  • Multiple choice questions
  • Submit Answer by question (instead of all together)
  • Only one attempt allowed
  • No result page after quiz (since it will be plugged into presenter)

What I expect is to:

Display the correct answer automatically right after submission

Students could see the correct answer of submitted questions when going back to review. (For example, when he are doing question 4, he wants to go back and check what is the correct answer for question 2, he can still see it.)

I understand the information of correct answer could be shown in the feedback, but it has two flaws:

  1. It has to be manually added, which means tons of work in my course.
  2. The feedback cannot be shown when students go back to check the answer.

Many thanks for your help!!!

Hi Carrie,

It sounds like you've exhausted the standard ways of adding the correct answer within Quizmaker, so you're looking for something a bit more custom? Within Quizmaker I can't think of an option that would allow for both of your conditions, as our built in review functionality is triggered by the results slides (which you don't want to include) and wouldn't allow for the user to go back at any point in the course.

Hopefully someone in the community is able to share additional information on what they've set up in Quizmaker.

Hey Ashley!

Thanks for the explanation and we have not figured a way to satisfy the needs exactly. Therefore, we decided to compromise a little bit by adding review page you mentioned at the end of each quiz. It still seems more or less redundant, but showing correct answers perfectly!

Hope it could be added in the coming version of Quizmaker! XD
