Feedback by answer branching

The video is great, but  the 'by answer' option isn't showing up in the pull-down. Could this be a limitation of my license or do I have to download something to see that option?

Which question type are youu using? Not all question types in Quizmaker have the Feedback by Answer option.

Multi Choice and Word Bank definitely do. Not 100% sure but I think they're the only two - I'm sure Christine could confirm

Correct. Only certain questions types allow for answer-level feedback, so depending on the kind of question you're working with, you might not see this option.

I just double-checked and Helen is completely right. Multiple Choice and Word Bank, they are currently the only question options that allow you to provide feedback "By Question".

Hi,

I have created a quiz in Storyline. I set the feedback "by choice" because I want there to be different feedback depending on which answer is selected. Additionally, I have set up branching because if they answer the question wrong, they need to be brought to a different slide that has more information.

Unfortunately, the branching is not working. When previewing it, if I get the answer wrong, I do see the feedback box, but it just keeps me on the slide, and does not branch me to the information slide.

The only way I have gotten the branching to work on the questions is if I set the feedback to "by question" and then I do the branching in the section at the bottom where it says "incorrect" and "correct".

Does anyone know how to get the branching to work when my settings are set to "feedback by choice"?

Hi Julie,

I'm not able to recreate this in my own Storyline file - what type of question are you using? Also, do you have it set up to offer  more than one attempt? Would it be possible for you to share your .story file with us here? If you'd prefer to not post in the forums, you could PM me a dropbox link to download it or send it to our Support team.
