Flash, Storylline, and Importing Old Quiz Files
Mar 02, 2021
Hello,
I have a series of Quizmaker '09 quiz files that do not import into Quizmaker 360. I have a new laptop with no flash updates, it appears Quizmaker '13 fails to load (which I assume is the "translator"), the application crashes, and nothing is loaded into my new quiz.
I can however import the original quiz files into Storyline 360 and interact with the content. I have been able to generate a question bank from them, but I am not sure how to bring those questions into Quizmaker 360.
What would be the best way to get these old quiz files into Quizmaker 360? I don't feel Storyline is the best way to create our quiz since we want to have a pool of questions the students will have their quiz pull from and we generate a certificate based on the results.
Thanks for your help,

Storyline has the same features as Quizmaker, Storyline was built from Quizmaker.
I believe you need quiz maker 09 installed to be able to import and the lack of flash will be a problem.
Can Quizmaker '09 still be installed on new devices? The old laptop that the quiz was developed on back in 2012 is still is running Windows XP.
You will need flash installed for it to work
Any work arounds for getting flash on new devices? This laptop was procured this past weekend (Feb 2021)
I have looked around the site and cannot find and installer for Quizmaker/Studio '09 so not sure if that would be a viable solution any more.
Hi Kasra and welcome to E-Learning Heroes. 😊
Thanks for reaching out and sharing what you are working on and the roadblock you're hitting.
Phil is correct, you could use the content in Storyline 360 if you wish. It sounds like you already have the items in a question bank, which is similar to the question pools in Quizmaker.
I'd recommend sharing your .quiz file with our team to take a look at upgrading it to Quizmaker 360.
