Hindi with build in Quizmaker buttons

Sep 05, 2013

Hi all, am having a slight problem with a project I'm working on it's a translation of an English module into Hindi. I've been able to change the actual text content of the Quizmaker questions using Mangal as the Font and this has worked fine. My problem arises when I try to change the built in sections of my Quizmaker file, things such as the navigation buttons and the pass/fail screens end up displaying a selection of random symbols instead of the Hindi I've inputted.

I have changed the build in font to Mangal and Arial Unicode MS but to no avail. Please see attached a screen grab exmaple:

Good Afternoon, Stephen.

...just a couple of clarifying questions:

  1. Did you follow this Knowledge Base article when modifying your Player Text Labels?
  2. Would your Hindi characters be considered multi-key, stacked characters?  If so, check out this article for instructions on how to generate single-glyph versions of these characters.

If neither of these steps seem to help, can you please and send us a copy of your .quiz and .playertemplate files for a closer look?

You'll find your .playertemplate file in the %AppData%\Articulate\Shared\1.0\Player Templates\SmoothFrame\ folder.

Thanks!
