How do I limit attempts at a quiz?

I'm a total newbie to Articulate. I have a zipped package of a Presenter program with a Quizmaker quiz all zipped up into it's tidy little package. I need to be able to keep track of attempts at the quiz in order to meet the guidelines of a government agency. The students have 3 attempts to pass the quiz, and must achieve an 85% to pass. Our LMS is GeoLearning. Do the parameters for settings that I tried to establish in Quizmaker actually translate to the LMS? I'm not getting it to work. I go in to test this and purposefully fail the quiz. It lets me right back in and isn't keeping track of my attempts. Do I have a problem with not knowing how to set the parameters in Quizmaker? Or is it GeoLearning?

Hi Jerry and welcome to Heroes! I would contact GeoLearning to see if they are able to limit the number of attempts on that presentation. You can limit the number of attempts in one session using Presenter, but you can't limit the number of attempts a user has from the LMS perspective from within Presenter.
That's what I was afraid of but thought it worth questioning! Thanks for your help! GeoLearning/SumTotal seems to want to point the finger at Articulate!
Has anyone found workarounds for this issue that might have the same or similar parameters?

Nope, never did get an answer. It seems to come down to a chicken and egg question that I posed in my initial request. Articulate says it's the LMS and the LMS folks say it's because we're not using their quizzing function. Their quizzing function is not very sophisticated however and very cumbersome to use.
Luckily I've not been pressed on this issue by the department that said they needed the information on number of attempts. If they are ever asked by the government for such information on any of our quiz takers we could be scrambling for answers.
If they do ask, I'll just have to say the program doesn't track number of attempts and I have documentation that I've tried to accomplish this.
If anyone is reading this from Articulate with a fresh perspective I'd still be very interested in an answer as to how tracking number of quiz attempts can be done when running a learning plan through an LMS such as geolearning/SumTotal. I'll soon be doing the same thing in just a few months.

No prob. I read another post where Articulate's online LMS doesn't even support this functionality (at the time of the post).
I see this was posted quite a while ago, but I wanted to chime in and see if anyone has found any solutions or workarounds for this (or if Articulate now has this functionality). I'm having a lot of issues with people attempting a quiz multiple times in one sittting just to pass it and I'm really hoping to find a way for this to stop.
