I would like to make a survey where a user is allowed to not only choose from a preset number of choices, but also add his/her own comment. Can this be done at all?
Yes, you can definitely set that up, and Rebecca and I both offered some examples in this earlier thread. Let me know if that works for you or if you're looking for something different could you describe it a bit more?
The thread you reference above is for Storyline. Is there an option for Studio '13? I too am trying to set up a multiple choice/multiple answer with comments. For example...
Please select the products you feel are most important and why.
Apples
Oranges
Bananas
In addition to telling me the choices they feel aremost important, i want the learner to tell me why they made the choice.
Thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide!
There isn't an example for Studio 13 to place multiple questions on one slide, as when you do it within Storyline it involves the tracking of variables which are not a part of Studio.
Thanks Ashley. I am relatively new to Studio use, so could you suggest a workaround? Is there a way to use branching to accomplish this? Is there also a way to print question responses so they can be sent to an instructor?
You could certainly do it with branching. You'll need to set up the branching within the Quiz feedback section, so that depending on how the user answers they're directed to a particular question next. This tutorial will walk you through how to set up feedback branching.
Additionally, you can include a "Print results" feature on the Quiz results slide. This will open up the individuals results in a new browser window that they can then choose to print or save.
