Problems with quizzes on iPad when navigation is restricted

Jan 11, 2016

I have been using AP 13 for a couple of years now but my online learning company recently decided to restrict navigation in our courses. I never had a problem with the quizzes loading on iPads before. Now the first question comes up as incorrect (the error bar that appears when you go through the quiz review and an incorrect answer was previously selected) and I can't select any of the choices after closing the "incorrect" error bar.

Here is what feels really weird -- for every course, our first interactive question module has an audio intro. Those questions work fine. But any subsequent question blocks (at least the 2nd, in both of the courses I've been working on -- I can't go further than that due to the restricted navigation) won't open, and I see the same error. I tried inserting a blank slide as a buffer between the standard slides and the quizzes, and even inserted some silent audio (a 3 second WAV file that was literally silent) in the hopes that it would jog the process and allow me to proceed, but no dice.

Is this a known problem with AP 13 and the restricted navigation?

Hi, Joanna -- So sorry to hear of the issues you are having! Just so you have it readily available, here is the System Requirements sheet for Studio '13. In addition, can you please confirm that you are testing your content in the intended environment and are seeing the same behavior? And if you are publishing for LMS, are you encountering the same behavior in the SCORM Cloud, as well?

If you do not see the same behavior the in SCORM Cloud as you are seeing in your LMS, you may want to reach out to your LMS provider directly. However, if issues persist, you may want to run through the troubleshooting steps listed here to see if you find improvement. You are also welcome to share your Articulate Package and we will gladly run some testing for you.
