QM Displays SOme Blank Answer Choices

Interesting phenomenon with QuizMaker.
Quiz has 110 multiple choice questions with each having 4 choices. Selected randomize question presentation AND shuffle answers AND feedback by answer.
8 or 10 questions, out of the total 110, present with one (1) of the choices as blank on the display – the position is present, the radio button is present but the associated answer text is blank.
If I select the blank answer choice I do get the correct feedback for selecting either the correct or incorrect answer. It seems this may be a display only problem.
This is demonstrable on demand since it happens repeatedly on the same question (recall randomize the questions and shuffle the answers) so cannot predict where in the question will present but it happens on the same questions. When I move to another machine, same behavior, same questions, same choice.
I use publish to WORD and edit the document to find which questions have this display problem, then back to the master QM to verify question and choices are defined properly. I see nothing wrong.
In each case I have published for web presentation and am executing the flash.
Thoughts or guidance anyone ?

You should be able to right click the file & choose Send To > Compressed ZIP Folder:

I am having a similar issue as well. The answer choices show up, but the question is not present on the screen when published. I have a 325 question test.
If I duplicate the question, it shows up properly. If I then delete the question that is problematic, the new version I created has the same problem. VERY STRANGE.
Has there been any resolution to this problem?

If you have Quizmaker '09 and Carbonite installed on the same computer, you may find that random text or images are missing from published quizzes.
This is a known issue. At this time, the workaround is to uninstall Carbonite and republish your quiz(zes).
We've also seen this issue reported with other backup software like WD Anywhere Backup.
Also, if you are using Boot Camp (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1461) on a Mac with "Parallels Internet Security Powered by Kaspersky" enabled, you may find that question or answer text is randomly missing when you preview or publish your Quizmaker '09 quiz.

We are having the same problem as Mr. Gallagher above. We have a hotspot question in a quiz and it looks fine when viewing the slide or previewing the slide. However, when the course is published and uplaoded in our LMS, the hotspot question does not display but the image does.
We tried deleting the question and re-adding it to the quiz but the new question did the same thing.
We use PCs and we don't use Carbonite.

One solution I found to this was to open the problematic quiz from presenter and then make a minor update, or add a space somewhere. Then save and return to presenter. When I republished, this seemed to work for the quizzes that were missing responses.

We have a quiz with 300 Questions in different random pools, when publishing we will have one question not displaying answer choices, the specific question affected will change depending on what edit we make to the quiz.

In hopes that some are still following this thread, does anyone have a workaround other than Yonca's, or received a fix from tech support? We were able to solve the missing question issue (Michael) by redoing the question, but the missing choices problem moves around from question to question. Fix one and it shows up somewhere else. We have two quizzes that this occurs in, one with 90 questions and one with 98. The 90-question quiz is in a course with 5 other quizzes but none of the other 5 exceed 40 questions. Is there any indication that this only happens after a quiz gets over a certain number of questions? Thanks.

Sorry to hear you're experiencing these issues. When we've seen this happen in the past, it's typically been a result of the original quiz file having been corrupted. Usually, importing the original questions into a new quiz file resolves the strange behavior. Give that a shot if you haven't already, and if you're still seeing the same issue, I'd recommend sending us your files so we can take a closer look. Thanks!

Thanks much for the rapid response – pleasing and relieving. I rebuilt the file and all was well when I tested it locally. I have submitted it to our IS team for upload to the LMS and am waiting for notification that it is there so I can test it. I will let you know how it goes. Thanks again.

For the record, I opened the intransigent quiz, created a new quiz (a-File menu > New), copied all questions in the intransigent quiz, pasted those into the new quiz, saved the New quiz. It was as quick and simple as it sounds.
I remembered to reconfigure the Pass/Fail Result options, the Quiz Properties, and the Player Template, eventually. (-:

I have been having the Quizmaker missing answers or pictures problem for a number of years. I have re-installed, repaired and it is very frustrating.
I have carbonite, on a PC but the problem has been on going since long before I got carbonite.
I recently got an LMS and I have to rework all of my courses and quizzes. The problem is very very frustrating, and I have tried everything that I have been told before that I can think of in the last two days and the problem still presists. Any other ideas?
