Quizmaker '13 - branched answers show in Table of Contents

Apr 24, 2014

I have created a branched quiz where one slide asks the question, one slide provides feedback if they are correct and one slide provides feedback if they are incorrect. However all three slides show up in my Table of Contents. I only want the quiz question slide to display in the TOC.

In the screen shot:

10 should show

10.1, 10.2, 10.3 should not show

How do I fix it?

Hi Beth!

In Quizmaker '13 you can now edit the menu of your quiz. This means that you can modify how question slides show up in the menu and you can even hide question names from the menu.

Here's how:

  • Click on "Player" along the top of Quizmaker '13's ribbon.
  • Select the "Question List" section.
  • From here, you can highlight and delete any slide you don't want to display in your menu by clicking on the small eyeball button at the bottom for "Remove from question list".

The title will still be in the list, but it should show up in italics, meaning that it's still available to learners, but it won't display in the menu.

It should look something like this:

Now, if you're inserting your Quizmaker '13 quiz into Presenter '13, you'll want to check the properties for the slide that contains that quiz.

Here's how:

  • Select the slide in PowerPoint/Presenter that contains your quiz.
  • Change the option in the slide from "Show in menu as: Multiple Items" to "Show in menu as: Single item".

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions.
