I have a Print Results button at the end of a quiz, and I have the box for the setting Prompt the user for their name before printing checked. I am publishing to CD for local viewing.
When clicking Print Results at the end of the quiz, Quizmaker does not prompt for a name. The results do display in the browser window, but no name is displayed.
I've searched high and low on the forums here, and found lots of related discussions, but no resolve to this issue.
Thanks for reaching out here. I took a look and found that it's something we did report to our QA Team in regards to that behavior with Studio '13. It seems that one workaround is closing Studio and republishing the content as your first action, allows the name prompt to work as expected.
I'll include this thread in the report file with our team, but since I can't offer a time frame I'd recommend taking a look at how that workaround behaves for you.
After lots of experimenting to find a way of getting a prompt for the quiz user to input their name before printing I finally found this thread here. As it's already 5 months old I would perhaps have expected a fix for the problem rather than still having to use it. At least it works.

Hi Ashley,
Thanks for the tip - I'll give it a try.
Jeff
UPDATE: The work-around works.
Thanks Jeff for the update and glad it worked!

Glad that it's able to assist you as well Irmgard. I do not have an update to provide from the QA Team at this time.
Hi, I've got the same problem :-( How can I workaround?
Wiktor - See Ashley's first response above. She describes the work around. I've used it multiple times successfully.
I don't understand. I don't know how to do it...
Hello Wiktor - Ashley mentions that:
one workaround is closing Studio and republishing the content as your first action, allows the name prompt to work as expected
So, I'd advise to save/close Studio, re-open the software, and publish immediately to see if it works then - prior to any other action/editing.
This workaround seems to be working for most users reporting, but there is no update from the QA Team.
