Quizmaker feedback problems

Jun 24, 2015

Hi folks

I've struck two problems with one of a number of QM modules that I've created for a project. I am only using multiple choice - 3 or more choices for each of 30 questions and have two formats for feedback - a pop up for incorrect and a next slide for correct (because these can be very lengthy). I've customised the feedback master (I only have one feedback master) so that the incorrect feedback appears in a rectangle on right of screen from top to bottom. The trouble I'm having is that for 8 of the 30 questions when one of the incorrect options is chosen, in addition to the pop up feedback an "incorrect" heading appears in the middle of the screen, and further in two of those cases the feedback (which by the feedback master should be black on light grey) appears as white on light grey (when the feedback for the other incorrect responses appears properly). Screencaps are attached. I have tried copying a slide whose incorrect options are fine but that does not solve the problem - or reappears or reappears as well as changing colour. I am copying and pasting questions , options and feedback from a Word doc and have tried to paste into Notepad and copying from there to remove any Word coding but that doesn’t work either. Any ideas what might be causing this and how I might fix it?

Thanks!

Good Morning, Des.

It sounds like some of the content within your .quiz file may be damaged or corrupt in some way.

For starters, please always save and publish to your local hard drive (typically your C: drive). Working on a network drive or an external (USB) drive can cause erratic behavior, such as file corruption, an inability to save changes, and loss of resources.

If you are already working locally, I'd recommend that you try importing your slides into a new quiz, to see if that changes the behavior.

If the problem still persists, I'd recommend sharing your .quiz file with us for a closer look.

Thanks, and good luck with your project!
