I have searched and read so many postings and blogs and have yet to find the answer to my question. All I want to be able to do is have the "printed results" emailed to an address. The results currently sent via email by QM are so garbled it is difficult to make any sense out of them. The printed results are clean and easy to review. Is this possible?
You're correct, the data that's sent through the email feature isn't very clean if you try to read it on its own.
The emailed results from Quizmaker quizzes are provided in raw text format in the body of an email. Raw text is the most flexible and universal format for analyzing data.
The simplest way to analyze quiz results is to save the data in a CSV file and review it in a spreadsheet or database program.
Here's how:
Copy and paste the text from the email into Notepad.
Go to File > Save As.
From the Save as Type drop-down list, select All Files.
Type a File Name and add .csv to the end of the file name (for example: Results.csv).
With the data in a CSV file, you can now open it with a spreadsheet program, such as Microsoft Excel, or import it into a database program, such as Microsoft Access, for further analysis.
While I realize this may not be the quickest method, hopefully it will help with reading that information.
Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, for us that will not do as these results get sent to an admin to enter into our LMS, and all they need to know is the name of the person and whether they pass or fail. I found a post a couple of weeks ago about altering the report.html file, but cannot locate it now. Was hoping someone would remember where this post is.
The email results feature can have varying results depending on the browser you're using and the email client as described here. It's generally a security issue that we can't fix from inside Quizmaker, although there is an unsupported workaround included in that article.
How can I then access or know that s.o. completed the quiz?. I would like to not only know if s.o. passed or failed, but also the responses given. That for two reasons: to measure effectiveness and to have a quality check in the quiz?
Articulate Quizmaker is primarily an e-learning development tool to be used with a learning management system (LMS), such as Articulate Online, to track results. See this article for more information on tracking quiz results.
I read about that, but was still wondering, if there is a way outside of a LMS. My company will have one in future which is not running yet though, so I'm looking for an interim solution to track the results. I read that 09-version could do it, so I was also wondering if there is an add-on that could turn this quiz results tracking back "on"? I imagine, that this is just a hidden button and it can perhaps be re-activated?
In the article you sent there was the suggestion to ask the community, so I'll post this discussion and am perhaps lucky ;-)

Hi there June,
Sorry that didn't help!
There are quite a few posts out there on the report.html topic, maybe one of the following resources will help?
Creating certificates by customizing the report.html file
Example files: Generating a certificate from Storyline (Not specific to Quizmaker, but some of the suggestions may help)
Customizing Report.html
Screenr on how to print both certificate and quiz results from QM report.html (Archived, but has some good information)
Good luck on the project, June! :)

Hi all,
Hope to receive a suggesstion
I am required to match a criteria from my client here
I was given 10 questions and the passing score for a learner is 70% . I was able to build this in quizmaker easily
Now, the client says that only such learners who get 70& and beyond passing score can proceed further and answer 2 more questions
The 2 questions are 1) Essay 2) Multiple response survey
What did I do: ?
I created a presenter file
Slide1 : Introduction
Slide2 : Main assessment with 10 questions
Slide 3: 2 questions (only for qualifying learners.Leaners who couldn't pass the main assessment will lauch again)
And I have set a criteria that the 2 question's answers be emailed to the client ,however, when I test it , I am getting a blank email
Additionally requesting you to let me know the procedures/precautions when you are emailing the results
Thanks a bunch

Hello all,
I now have QM 13 and the option to email results is no longer available.
thanks,
June
Hi June,
Quizmaker '13 does not support the email results feature.
Here's more information:
Articulate Quizmaker '13 Doesn't Include an Email Results Feature
I know that may not be the answer you were hoping for, but I do hope it helps.
Thanks!

Hi Melissa,
There isn't a way we can offer support or guidance on, but the community is pretty awesome at that - and so I'll leave it in their hands. :-)
