Quizzes and Moodle

Apr 06, 2011

Hey all,

I've had a look through the forums and can't seem to find an answer. I want to create a course which has essay questions and I want to upload it using SCORM into Moodle (2.0). I've never created a course that is tracked in Moodle. The problem is though they may complete the quiz that doesn't mean they have are competent (passed). So my problems are:

Firstly, I want to know if it's possible to have the answers emailed to a teacher for marking (i.e. they don't have to go through the complicated process I've seen in tutorial where you have to go to each students record).

Secondly, How would they become marked as competent? Would I need to set up an assignment in the gradebook to mark them? Is there an easier way?

Lastly, is it true that you can only track one quiz per presentation?

Sorry if this has been answered somewhere previously!

Thanks,

Kat

I would not recommend using email as a way to send information to a teacher. They may not know the email address of someone and if an end-user doesn't have a mail program, which is very common nowadays, the email feature won't even work.

In order to mark a course as complete they should just have to complete the survey and you would need to make sure you are tracking the survey, not by slides viewed:

Presenter will only track one quiz per presentation.
