Is it possible to have 8 groups of questions with 4 questions in each and to set it up so that only 1 group is selected each time the quiz is taken and all 4 questions from that group get asked?
do you think there is any way around it. We need it to be in one quiz but only want the user to be asked 4 questions from one of the topics in these 8 groups, there will be other groups in it also where they will be asked a selection of questions from all of them.
Perhaps I misunderstood your question then. Are you saying that you need all the questions in a certain group to be asked, but that other groups could be a small selection and/or randomized. This can absolutely be done and the tutorial that I shared above shares how to do so.
We have 13 groups, with a number of questions within each group.
Groups 1 to 5 have 10 questions each, we want to ask 5 from each, this we are ok with.
Groups 6 to 13 have 4 questions each
We want only one of these groups to be selected each time someone takes the quiz and for the one that is selected, each of the 4 questions to be asked.
We want it so that each person taking the quiz isn't asked questions from the same group and also for the next time the person takes it they get asked the questions from a different group.
Is that possible do you think and if so is it covered in the tutorial you shared the link for?

I'm sure it was my explanation of it!!!

The second half of your request is not possible.
If you would like to submit that in as a feature request, you may do so here.
Great, thanks for your time and the clarification.
