Score a Quiz containing ONE question...

Jun 11, 2015

I have a CBT with a separate Assessment, which is "locked" until the CBT is Completed/Passed (sequencing/prerequisite) in the LMS.  I created the CBT in Presenter '13, and have a Yes/No quiz (Quizmaker'13) at the end of the CBT.  They are to indicate whether or not they are "Ready to take the Assessment"
Is there any way to pass this question no matter which answer they choose, unlocking the Assessment by Completing the CBT, but returning to take the Assessment at a later time, after getting questions answered by supervisor, etc.?

Any help would be appreciated!

Or....a Second thought:   If I close the CBT.....WITHOUT A QUIZ....which LMS Reporting Option for SCORM 2004 Report Status should I choose?  I don't totally understand the options there.  This one: Passed/Failed, I get.  But what about the other options.  they just don't make sense to me.

Passed/Incomplete; Completed/Incomplete; Completed/Failed

Hi Ruth,

There isn't a way within Studio to pass information from one course to another to "unlock" the next one in your LMS - that'll be up to the LMS.

In regards to the different completion options, you could track by slides viewed to consider the course completed and those different options are really just different language as each LMS is a bit different in terms of how they want the completion/passed status set. Many LMSs track both a completion status and a success status. To report both statuses, choose either Passed/Incomplete or Passed/Failed when publishing Articulate Presenter '13, Articulate Quizmaker '13, or Articulate Engage '13 content.

Completed/Incomplete and Completed/Failed report only the completion status.

Thanks! Now I see. It is reporting correctly. The only problem with the course now, is that the videos are not active. Only the play bar is showing....it is not Auto-launching.

Grrrrr!

Thanks for the links, Ashley; however, in previous publishing/deployment to the LMS the videos worked as desired, playing automatically as set up in the Presenter settings.

However, this deployment to the LMS doesn’t start the videos at all….only the playbar is visible, and it won’t launch the video manually, either.

I’m working with the ScormCloud support to see if we can figure out what the disconnect is. I’ll let you know…

Running Fiddler shows that the Video is not being found, even though it is DEFINITELY in the produced zip package deployed to the LMS.  From SCORMCloud support, we are probably getting the video blocked by the corporate network for some reason.  This is really strange, since previous published versions launched the videos.

So, I'm attempting to get support from my corporate network to troubleshoot this.  I'll keep you posted.
