Trial version question

Dec 07, 2013

Since I currently have QM 09 on my computer, I will have to uninstall it to try out the QM 13 trail version, right?

Assuming the answer to the above question is yes, say I uninstall my QM 09 and install the free trial QM 13. Let's say I decide I don't want to buy it and uninstall the QM 13 free trial - then I guess I download QM 09 again then have to get help getting it registered again, right?  So then who/how do I go about getting QM 09 to show once again that I am a paid registered user?

Am I the only one out there that doesn't like the fact that you have to uninstall any version of QM you currently have on your computer to install the free trial QM 13?

Hi there Larry,

That's correct. When you go to install Studio '13 on your machine, you'll be prompted to remove Studio '09, if you haven't already uninstalled it. It's currently not possible to have both installed on the same machine at the same time. However, on the plus side, if you upgrade any existing Studio '09 projects to the newer format, Studio will save a backup of those files, just in case you decide to return to '09.

All you'll need is your initial confirmation email for Studio '09 that contains your serial numbers. When you reinstall, you'll be able to activate again using those serial numbers. If you don't have access to that email, just send an email to our Customer Care team.

If you decide to return to Studio '09, you can download the latest version of Articulate Studio '09 here:
