Trouble Importing Questions to Quizmaker
May 07, 2014
Hello,
I am attempting to move a large database (over 12,000 questions stored in a program called Quiz Creator) into Quizmaker but unfortunately I cannot seem to format the information as a .txt in a way that will be acceptable to the program. I am following the template that is provided but I get error messages like:
" Line 42: Multiple Choice is a Graded question and must have a score defined.
Line 50: Multiple Choice is a Graded question and must have a score defined.
Line 58: Multiple Choice is a Graded question and must have a score defined."
What is especially frustrating is the questions that have the problems associated seem to be formatted the exact same way as other questions that work.
I hope anyone has any advice to give, I have typed all of those questions out once, I would really hate to do it again!
I can try to attach the file that is causing the issues but when I click the Insert File button it freezes my browser.

Hi Dan and welcome to E-Learning Heroes!
Perhaps the file is too large to share in the forums here.

Hi Leslie,
Thanks for your reply.
I trouble shot it for a while and it seems to have been a formatting issue that may have occured when I converted my database from a .xls file to a .txt. The lines of text in the .txt file had spaces after the words and Quizmaker did not like that. After going through line by line, I deleted all of the extra space and then was able to upload the information.
Thanks,
Dan
Glad to hear it Dan! Thanks for the update
